**Cosmicodes** is a collaboration between *Insigħt*, a trio of generative quantum artists, and *Leonardo Petrucci*, an artist captivated by the mysteries of outer space.
The project draws inspiration from **iron meteorites**, specifically the striking geometries found in their slices — known as **Widmanstätten patterns**. These textures are formed in outer space through catastrophic cosmic explosions and are shaped over millions of years under slow cooling conditions.
#### A Visual Metaphor
Cosmicodes is a visual metaphor. Just as generative art uses algorithms to produce unique artworks, the universe itself is an ongoing generative system. The laws of physics intertwine with quantum fluctuations, maintaining a delicate balance of randomness and structure that gives rise to the complexity we observe all around us.
There is a profound connection between humanity and the cosmos, and meteorites serve as tangible messengers, revealing the universe's history and mysteries in the most direct way.
