As I've often said, music plays an essential role in my art and many times serves as the starting point for many of my abstract pieces. Here I used the song "Summertime" as the base of inspiration. In preparing I collected a series of different versions of the song to play as I laid out and worked on the painting ... "fish are jumpin."
