Description
Here's an abstract piece done on raw canvas, a frenzied complicated drawing that poured out of me as the music guided my hand throughout the picture plane, oftentimes the way I begin my abstract works. The blank canvas staring back at me as prepare for a new routine. The mark is familiar, I've done this many times, yet they are all different as they capture a particular instant tied to a favorite jazz passage. After this initial session I have to take a break, sometimes falling asleep, this outpour of energy tires me physically. Going back into the painting I select a color palette that is signature to my work... filling in the blanks and establishing a dividing plane of yellows, shielding one side from the other. (The physical painting sold for $10,000 and now resides in a private collection well outside the NFT realm; it will not appear online.)
