I've always dreamed of going to Upstate New York during autumn, as I've heard it is a kaleidoscope of fiery fall foliage.
When we arrived in early October of 2021, the leaves started to change, but nothing like what I've seen in photographs. I closed my eyes and imagined how the awe-inspiring scene would look with peak foliage as I breathed in the smell of the crisp fall air, felt the cool autumn breeze on my skin, and listened to leaves rustling in the trees all around me. I opened my eyes, captured the shot, and then edited "Ruby Reverie" using infrared light filters during post-processing in Lightroom to take me back to that moment of reflection on that chilly autumn day.
