Description
This photo shows the Abbey of San Galgano near Siena, Italy.
This church fell into disuse during the 16th century. It became a quarry of building materials, plundered and abandoned to the negligence of men. They even sold the lead plates that covered the roof exposing it to the inclemency. Despite all of this, in fact, thanks to the negligence of men it is now one of the most suggestive places in Tuscany.
This piece represents the essence of my photography. I love to share things from a different perspective. Currently there is a big trend of aerial and drone photography but have you ever thought to raise your head and watch things from below? The results may actually be pretty cool!
This church was abandoned and looted in the past, but now, because of this, it is a wonderful and unique place! Sometimes, also in life, it is enough to watch things from a different perspective to change everything!
