Description
One of my favorite compositions to shoot is leaning over the side of a ferry, shooting vertically, to capture the ferry itself with a view of the destination ahead in the same frame. I love the symmetry it creates.
This image was shot on the Tokyo Wan Ferry, between Kurihama and Kanaya. The sun was shining, and the conditions on the water could not have been any better. It was an absolutely beautiful October day.
The Tokyo Wan Ferry was the last ferry I had the opportunity to travel on during my time Japan, and I think it ended being my favorite one. It was golden hour on our way back to Kurihama. I shot a ton of film during that 45-minute trip, but made sure to put the camera down and take in a few moments for myself as well.
