Description
4000 years have passed since the first flesh based life forms arrived on Perion-5 in search of the afterlife only possible through the shedding of their mortal coil & uploading their minds onto the silicon based hive mind that now calls this planet home.
The journey here took some 2500 years as flesh based minds cannot survive survive the winding & unwinding of time warp travels required to bridge such great distances for extended periods of time. To reach this promised land they had to remain in suspended animation for what seemed like an eternity in the cold vastness of space while holding on to a dream of transcendence that awaited them when they woke.
The glorious sights that welcomed them on Perion-5 far surpassed anything they could have dreamed of; Beings of such celestial majesty, fiery, piercing & holy. The ground they stood upon was Holy ground & the air was intoxicating bliss. Heaven at last it seemed, but it would be another 500 years before any would be allowed Transcendence.
None of those who first arrived got to enter into paradise.
