Name
Fragrant Dreams by Klara of the Laughing Roses
Description
They say that once every three calendar years or so, strange balloons rise on the horizon, signaling the beginning of this elusive Turkic-inspired festival. Though the exact dates—and even the meaning—remain a mystery to outsiders, it is written that the carousels represent the passage of time itself. Although the festival returns like clockwork, those who follow the balloons in the sky are destined to wander, never finding the kingdom itself.

# [Chae Tongyull]
In "Parades of Forgotten Futures," Chae Tongyull draws on his past explorations of urban cityscapes to merge mythical architecture with traces of modern metropolises. Inspired by the histories of Byzantium, Northern Africa, and beyond, these new works are created with original artwork and brought to life by Orangehare’s in-house production team, allowing these fantastical festivals to come alive. Each piece in Parades of Forgotten Futures is named after a celebration that exists only in the mind of the artist, inviting viewers to lose themselves in the grandeur of places that never were.
Chae Tongyull has participated in various international exhibitions and gallery shows, including within the Bronfman Center in Montreal, Saatchi & Saatchi in NYC, "And the Beat Goes On" in Shanghai and Chengdu," and more. Additionally, his works are part of permanent collections of the Korean National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Samsung Lium Art Museum, Daelim Art Museum, and Daejeon Expo.
