Description
It is no secret that the inspiration for my photography comes from cyberpunk-themed movies or shows such as Bladerunner, Akira, Ghost in the Shell. Recently, I watched Edgerunners from Cyberpunk 2077 and it rekindled my passion to create a new piece.
Over time, I have become more ambitious in the animations in my photographs, but after much thought and deliberation, I have concluded that my favorite pieces are those with a more minimalistic approach. This photograph is the perfect blend for me, not too much, but not too little either.
'Edgerunner' is a photo I have been holding onto for a special occasion. I took this photograph when I was discovering my talent as a rainy night photographer. This photo is also the first time that I felt content with composition and subject matter. Cyberpunk themed street photography is not as easy as one thinks, but when you have all these elements come together in one photograph, it makes me very happy. I still remember this night as I was walking back home from the local 7-11. I saw the motorcycle driver off in the distance and I knew he had to drive up the little hill, so I took out my camera and waited a few seconds for him to drive by with the tall buildings in the background.
