Description
This image was made at along the Tamar River at Clarence Point, Tasmania, Australia, and not far from where the Tamar River meets the part of the ocean known as Bass Strait.
Sunrise was a fiery affair, and the scene opposite to the sun's rising was immaculate. But as the fire began to dissipate, the scene became even more beautiful.
With Lenticular clouds illuminated almost directly by the sun, the fire like glow from the dawn was still on the lower cloud, and as the sun rose, all began to warm the surrounding hills with light.
Working quickly to align the shutter speed and right amount of camera movement to capture it before the light faded, and at the same time maintaining the composition, this photograph was made in such a way as to imitate the artists paintbrush, and yet still capture the scene.
Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) involves the movement of the camera at a specific speed and/or direction during the operation of the shutter, resulting in a blurred image that still contains detail and a story of what it is about, and what it contains.
This image was not made using AI or any Photoshop effects.
