Description
In the cool of the new day's morning, the newly minted sun begins it's journey up into the sky, and as it does, it penetrates the Karri tree forest, the woods and the hidden corners of the land to highlight hidden gems, a source of beauty for the eyes and richness for the soul.
Illuminating this pocket of the forest, the sun caught my eye and forced me to stop my car to capture this image. A scene I had seen many times, but had never had the right conditions for what I knew was there, and the imagination of my camera.
Working to align the shutter speed and right amount of camera movement to capture it the scene and at the same time maintaining the composition, this photograph was made in such a way as to imitate the abstract artists paintbrush, and yet still capture the scene.
Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) involves the movement of the camera at a specific speed and/or direction during the operation of the shutter, resulting in a blurred image that still contains detail and a story of what it is about, and what it contains.
Catalogued and processed in Lightroom, this image was not made using AI or any Photoshop effects.
