November: when the cold weather and skies darkened by clouds and the Sun spending less and less time among us seems to inspire the gathering of friends and family to remind us all that there is still light and laughter in the world. It is the time of harvest and the beginning of celebrations that stretch out through the end of the year. And while these are the events we regularly mark the traversal of our lives with, there are always new things to discover about each other as we catch up on all the things that have happened to us since the last time we met. This is a month of both the expected and revelation.

This piece by Maneki Neko is part of a series of an open edition for each month of 2023. It was created through experimentation with the AI tools Midjourney and Stable Diffusion in multiple iterations of combinations of prompts and settings to produce hundreds of floral synthographs. The best of these images were curated and upscaled with Stable Diffusion to bring out even more details and finished with color and fine detail editing in Photoshop.
