Description
My grandfather was a rice farmer, and my father also grows rice after retiring. So, for me, rice fields have been a familiar sight since I was a child. I approached these familiar paddy fields with a new perspective. The sound of rustling rice in the wind, the movements of tiny insects, and the leaps of frogs showed me that they were not just ordinary scenes; each had its own unique presence. I felt a sense of harmony and inner calm.
By visualizing the fine textures and time that are normally unnoticed by the human eye when looking at the world from a different perspective, such as insects, I expressed the diversity and complexity of the natural world that is not usually recognized.
I aimed to cultivate new gratitude and respect for our "everyday" experiences.
