This museum. A place one is transported to when handed thoughts which confront with the most challenging and sorrowful of memories, that exists only in the recesses of the mind—a realm where memories are not just recalled but experienced with an intensity that makes time and space seem irrelevant.
Are we visiting this place, its past and its memories because we are lonely, seeking solace in familiar recollections, or is it instead solitude, a conscious choice to reflect on the path we've taken. We can't stay in this place forever, ultimately we must find the strength to move forward, even as we long for what can never be again.
This piece, a visual journal of sorts, was crafted as an attempt to process a profound and agonizing grief. And is an invitation to those who see it to confront the echoes of lost dreams, unattainable futures, and choices in the face of inexorable change.
