Description
It all started when I was 18, keen on photography and painting, no experience in the art World, no training just a young adult with passion and dreams. I applied to Walsall Art Gallery, this was around 2005, I just wanted my work to be seen, online was limited for sharing art and frankly never lead to anything. I applied to have my work in Walsall art gallery and it got rejected... this was a setback on my confidence but I still continued to visit the gallery and see who got in. This was the moment I realised the art World and ost galleries are a farce. It was never about the art it was about who's rich parents had connection or what celebrity could bring people through the doors to get more funding. I saw posers in turtle necks holding champagne celebrating the farce as unsuspecting general public onlook the mediocre art looking confused whilst their parents shook hands with the curational leads. I wasn't born of that World and knew it was trivial trying to get their snooty approval by persistently begging. I gave up, got a normal job, put art aside. Then NFT's emerged and a cryptoartist was born in 2019. I knew now was my time to manifest, the World could see what I have to offer without colluded gates.
See in the space I am the gallery. I can do whatever I want with your gallery and you can't stop me. So here I am as the Janitor, cleansing with crimson paint the tainted walls and defining my own gallery and vision. You cannot take this space away from me, but I took your dirty space from you.
I don't care if it kills me, I wont lie down, from the gallows I am a winner and we will rebuild from the ground in this new space.
Thanks for rejecting me, you made me better than you.
