Description
Monument depicts colossal cosmic events extending across time and space. Bold and powerful when viewed from a distance, each piece has an absorbing granular complexity when seen up close. Paying homage to film and cinematic processes, the project uses the characteristics of a camera lens to create and define the artistic form, and bokeh as the drawing primitive - a vibrant, light-based byproduct of a photographic lens.
Monument is Tsukamoto’s most technically complex collection to date. Eight layers of generative form are composited with a set of visual effects including colour lookups, depth of field, lens-effects, film-grain and vignette, all of which are parametrically controlled by the generative process.
Presented in partnership with The Disruptive Gallery, Monument is a limited edition of 128 curated pieces.
