The Caretaker rests. Having leveraged the worlds for its needs, it leaves behind a meadow of destruction. Debris stretches across vast expanses, the only remnants of what has transpired. Tiny artifacts, some sculpted, some raw, stand as memorabilia from the Caretaker’s yield. Keepsakes that remind us of the cycle.
*Keepsakes* expands on the story of the Caretaker, each work depicting a timeless souvenir. Formed by the event, these souvenirs contain spillover from the Caretaker’s essence, each radiating in unique colorful patterns. Some color schemes are recognizable, others never before seen.
*Keepsakes* is built on p5js. One algorithm, two collections. The curated collection consists of 16 selected editions, carefully hand picked from thousands of outputs by the artist. While 400 further pieces from the algorithm are minted utilizing the long form generative process, ensuring the magic of random generation is a feature of the project.
