Description
Been spying on this location for some time. Nest was located months before. I kept driving up here day after day. Waiting for the babies to be born. I could see a few babies when they were born. But not the entire body. Inside this empty tree the most beautiful native Owl appeared. I had no idea this would happen today.
After nearly one month of dedicating hours and hours of drive time. Upon scouting this area I was deeply happy to see them not only alive but plush with beauty. The native Pueo is one we hold very close to our culture. Owls are from different species and this one belongs to the short eared owl group. But have been native to Hawaii specifically Hawaii Island. The Big Island Of Hawaii
This is my very first sighting of a brand new baby Owl. One full of vibrant feathers untouched by age.
Detail of the spider web to the left brings image so much more life. Spider is in web. Moss from the tree as the Owl is inside. I am amazed by this image.
