Renowned independent bottler Duncan Taylor has released two rare expressions from the iconic Speyside distillery The Macallan, which is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. Sold individually Macallan 1991, 33 Year Old and Macallan 1969, 52 Year Old have both been matured in Sherry Oak casks and bottled in smaller 100ml formats, to enable more people to enjoy this super rare liquid. Each expression is limited to just 500 bottles as part of the Duncan Taylor’s Rarest Reserve Collection and are presented in a gold bar-inspired cabinet display box. King Charles III and Queen Camilla sampled the 52 Year Old in Edinburgh on 3rd July 2024, with Camilla praising it as a single malt that "hits the spot." BlockBar has secured 10 x 100ml bottles of each limited edition expression.
