The youth from many of Hong Congo’s less affluent and influential areas, filled with pubescent angst and lacking purpose, populated the dusty projects in scattered clusters.
Too old to accept care and supervision, yet too young to fulfil a role in the workforce, they idled away their days rummaging through old scrap heaps and engaging in competitive games against rival groups.
These forgotten neighbourhoods being so close to the central aerospace port, they were afforded a clear view and daily reminder of where they would one day likely end up.
