Description
When the letters "IP" first began to appear in the streets of Gineeren, it was a designation that helped the protor culture make a distinction between AI, cybernetic, and organic lifeforms. A simple tag, that would tell the protors that the entity tagged with it was one who urinated to dispose of liquid waste, and was therefore an organic lifeform.
After some time, the protors felt comfortable that they had cataloged, marked, and tagged every organic being on the planet. With spray paint. They were unaware of just how easily the tags could be removed. After removing the tags, many Gineerens sought revenge for the mishandling done by protors to effectively accomplish the cataloging and tagging. They set out on a mission, to covertly tag as many protors with "IP" as they could, in hopes of confusing the protors and effectively destroying the cataloging system.
Every time this happened, the reaction from the protors was not as expected. They observed the oncoming Gineeren sneaking up behind them, among other methods Gineeren’s thought were covert, but were ultimately futile in design as Protors with a myriad of sensors and optics to detect them. It became a cat and mouse game at first.
Soon after, the protors decided to turn off most of these sensors, and decided they would play their own game. “IP Detection”. A game where if a protor had failed to detect a covert human before they tagged the protor, he would be ridiculed, laughed at, and excommunicated from the group, protor family, or Gineeren city all together.
It was in the midst of this that the Toraudites were working with the Genegier Ni to restore control using the wireless network. Protor Theorists believe that the normal IP addresses of each individual Protor was replaced through deep learning by the “IP Detection”, and subsequently this game was broadcast over the entire network, effectively replacing every protors IP with what has been deemed as the “IP Laughter Virus”.
In select areas found throughout the city, groups of Protors have gained an addiction to the generative “H” and “A” process and will hide in waiting for unsuspecting Protors and Gineerens alike in order to tag them and experience uncontrollable “laughter”.
