Legacy of Color by Nassor Abdul Mkura
Description
This picture depicts a group of peaceful birds, nicknamed the "Aircraft," gathering to discuss their troubled future. Every day, they lived in fear of an eagle, who attacked them for food. In their meeting, they decided to leave the dangerous area and relocate to a safer place where they and their young could live in peace.

From the bustling streets of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, emerges "Legacy of Color" by Nassor Abdul Mkura, a vibrant continuation of his father Abdul Mkura's legendary TingaTinga legacy. Born in the Shinyanga region, Nassor initially resisted the call of the paintbrush, despite his father's gentle nudges. However, as his father’s work gained international fame—from local galleries to the renowned art scene in Japan—Nassor began to see the joy it brought to others. After his father's tragic passing, Nassor took up the brush to honor his memory and in doing so, he not only brought his father's artistic vision to life but also found joy for himself and for every admirer of TingaTinga’s bold, whimsical beauty. Through his art, we find new life- bold, wild, and free.
With each purchase, you contribute your own voice to TingaTinga movement’s global narrative, and connect yourself to a Tanzanian tradition that remains unbroken six decades after it was founded.
