You never know what type of gem you might bump into when attending a car auction.
Back in June 2023, I went to a car auction close to my place, as a curious car enthusiast that I am, to admire some of the gems up for sale. While I was appreciating the beauty of a black Aston Martin DBS Vantage Sports Saloon, one detail caught my full attention... The hood emblem, with its gold finish, was just shining under the indirect lights. I immediately loved the contrast between the dark black paint finish of the car and its gold and white emblem.
Cherry on the cake, the emblem has the name of David Brown, a major person in Aston Martin's history. Indeed, Brown acquired Aston Martin in Feb 1947 when the car maker was for sale. Thanks to his acquisition and a lot of hard work, the famous Aston Martin DB1 was born shortly after, in 1948.
