Description
In order for UA's to be safely integrated within traditional airspace and support various mission types, the dedicated C-Band frequencies 5030-5091 MHz and 5091-5150MHz have been allocated by most national bodies. Currently most UA's operate control and mission data links via unlicensed bands such as WiFi and RC or alternatively in the ISM bands. The issue with the use of these bands is that they do not provide sufficient reliability for the safe operation of BVLOS operations, seen as the future of the drone industry. These unlicensed or "light licensed" bands have high volumes of traffic interference as well as coverage limitation due to transmit power limitations.
With the above in mind, most national aviation bodies have allocated the same C-Band frequencies to the UA industry. This allocation has seen UA manufacturers, specifically those with commercial intent begin to incorporate C-Band TxRx technology in to their builds.
According to ITU-R and ICAO SARP'sthe frequency bands 5030-5091 MHz are used only for UA control link whereas 5091-5150MHz can be used for both drone control and mission data link.
What is quite clear is that C-Band is the future of the UA industry and as such requires supporting infrastructure.
DeFli Networks are looking to deploy C-Band receiver stations in a phased roll-out with this CFI NFT being phase 1 and containing 762 individual C-Band sites.
DeFli Networks are contributing 26% of accrued network revenue specific to C-Band deployment to be split across all CFI NFT's with a minimum guaranteed rate per 30 days of $779 paid in USDC. Alternatively owners may choose to receive rewards in $FLI in line with our tokenomics.
The project will commence in January 2025 and run for 36 months with further phases likely in March, June and October of 2025 depending upon demand.
