Description
Cassie Chadwick (1857–1907) was a notorious American con artist who posed as the illegitimate daughter of industrialist Andrew Carnegie. She used this false identity to secure loans and live a lavish lifestyle, fooling banks and wealthy individuals into believing she had access to Carnegie's fortune. Chadwick's elaborate scheme unraveled in 1904, leading to her arrest, conviction for fraud, and subsequent imprisonment until her death in 1907.
