Cotton Candy
My journey with infrared is in it’s infancy, but what a journey. The full spectrum camera I use turns the world on it’s head producing an ethereal effect even on mundane subjects. But I’m not in the business of mundane.
I love solitary trees, I’m always on the lookout for something with nice shape and foliage. I initially walked past this tree but decided to double back as I liked the shape and the branches protruding. A check through my IR viewfinder made me realise the potential of this tree.
The name came to me instantly, I had to shoot it. Looking at the tree with the eye it didn’t really do much for me but in IR it completely transformed it.
