Description
[This work has been airdropped to the audience attending the 'Kingdom of the Dreamer' pre-drop Zoom call on February 17th, 2024.]
"Kingdom of the Dreamer" is an ode to storytelling by DocT and draws inspiration from Grimms' Household and Children's Tales, which the artist was reading to his own children during the creation of this series.
Revisiting these tales as an adult is a wonderful way to reconnect with the stories of your own childhood. The works are also a reflection on the cultural function of fairy tales and how they address universal themes of survival, caution, resilience, and moral dilemmas through fantastical narratives and metaphor.
In Grimm's Fairy Tales, the theme of the seeker is prevalent, portraying characters who embark on quests in search of knowledge, love, or fulfillment. These seekers often encounter trials, obstacles, and magical beings along their journeys, reflecting the challenges and rewards of pursuing one's desires.

Process and media:
Each work is the outcome of a specifically designed multi-step process, which includes the creation of a series of base images with differing AI tools, the partial blending of the base images, and comprehensive post-editing using Photoshop and other editing tools. In brief, the process engages with techniques of digital collage as a means to create highly personal and emotionally charged works.
