This piece explores the delicate balance between ecstasy and horror. For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to experience altered states in order to approach the sublime. However, there is always the risk of paying the price and getting stuck in a bad trip. I've been fortunate, and overall, my psychedelic experiences have been positive. However, there are times when they can feel endless, especially when they extend for several days.
Throughout Greek mythology, I've always found satyrs, nymphs, and the god Dionysus to be among the most captivating and intricate characters. They are intricately intertwined with wine, music, dance, sex, and hedonism, making their tales absolutely mesmerizing to me.
"The Satyr's Psychedelic Passage into Ecstasy" delves into this pivotal moment of transition during a psychedelic journey. He finds himself surrounded by the nymphs he adores, yet fear holds him back from plunging into the unknown abyss.
